Known Issues
There is a known issue with the 11th Gen Intel motherboards where both the main battery and RTC coin cell battery must be completely removed and reconnected if the laptop is left uncharged for a relatively short period78. This was caused by an Intel silicon bug. Framework offered replacement RTC batteries and motherboards to affected users910. The battery also drains in shutdown state with UEFI version 3.07 or earlier11, later fixed in unofficial version 3.0812.
